What inspired the birthing of this network?

The Household of Faith Network of Churches started with a deep conviction that the local church should be organic, contextually relevant, and free from rigid hierarchies. We believe that by God's design, churches are meant to thrive as independent, Spirit-led communities rather than regional or national franchises.

How is this different from a denomination?

Denominations are structured institutions with centralized governance and formal authority. The Household of Faith Network is a relational family of autonomous churches.

We walk together by shared conviction, not by institutional obligation. Churches remain fully self-governing while choosing to live in relationship with others.

Who has authority?

Jesus Christ is the head of the Church both locally and globally.

Local church leadership carries authority and responsibility for their congregation. The network holds no governing authority over local churches, only relational influence grounded in trust.

What happens if we disagree?

Disagreement is expected and welcomed as part of walking together.

We commit to:

  • Honest conversation
  • Mutual respect
  • Prayerful discernment

There are no penalties for disagreement. Unity is preserved through love, not enforced agreement.

Can churches leave the network?

Yes. Relationship is voluntary and sustained by shared conviction, not obligation. Churches are free to step away with honour and peace.

Is there a cost or requirement?

There is no mandatory fee or institutional requirement. Participation is shaped by relationship, generosity, and shared discernment.
